Monki Business

So this week I am totally loving Monki. Monki is an off shoot of H&M and could be described as the quirkier sister brand. They have a concession in Selfrideges and have recently opened an amazing mirrored store in Carnaby Street (definitely worth a visit). The clothes are mix of work and play items, the colours and patterns are print and funky and so is the jewellery. Pricing is similar to H&M's but there aren't any really cheap pieces. I could buy at least 75% of the collection. Check out the Carnaby Street shop below, and my favourite pieces.

I got me some Marni

Okay, so I managed  to pop down to my local H&M on Oxford Street and grab a Marni bargain. I was lucky, there was still quite a few styles left when I arrived. I had my eye on the long sleeved cardie, with brown tones, however when I got there I fell in love with a short sleeved green cardie with frills down the front. Check out my images below... I queued for 50 mins of my lunch break but it was worth it. The quality of the clothing was top notch, you could tell that alot of care had gotten to this collab...

Loving!!!

I have decided each week I am going to have an 'Love it...Totes Amazing post which as you can probably guess is about something that I am loving that week!!! This week I am super excited about the H&M and Marni collaboration launching on the 8th March. I am very excited about the collab and will be definitely pop in on my lunch break to see what is on offer at their Oxford Street Circus branch. In my experience with these partnerships the clothes look great in the campaigns but up close the quality can be lacking. I will be interested to see how the Italian brand is presented   in-store. The collection is pictured below, and is very on-brand. Also check out the TV Ad which I have seen about 4 times already; shot by Sofia Coppola. Enjoy x

Shao Yen

Continuing on from my London Fashion Week day... the presentation of Shao Yen was really interesting. They had models on blocks, while people walked around the room. They also had TV monitors showing what was happening back stage. The music was live as well, with cellists playing a haunting tune. My favourite pieces from this collection were the black cloak and the black pantsuit. I really enjoyed the presentation there is a mixture of fur details whether its sleeves or panels. The material were wool twill, sheer silk and a dash of leather. For a stylish yet slouchy comfortable AW12 this brand is key. I also loved the styling, half of the models wore trainers...

A Zesty tracksuit, let's get sporty!!!
My favourite playsuit, I would pair it with heels though.
Mini dress, with orange arm warmers, a bold look I think.
It's all about the mid drift, it looks like this SS12 trend is set to run into AW12, however it maybe a bit chilly.

My favourite piece, this quilted cloak is definitely a must have!!!

 Stylish yet slouchy...
Beautiful, more summer than winter though...
This blue colour used for this jumper dress is immense, it really pops!!!

Unfortunately my pictures from the Bernard Chandran and Ashley Isham were awful so I have not posted them.
