Christian Loubiton

To say that I am footwear obsessed is an understatement, in the last month alone I shave brought two pairs of flip flops, a pair of Jellie shoes, a pair of black Jeffrey Campbells and a gorgeous pair of yellow peep toe pumps with glitter heel. I am not sure why I need so many shoes, but once I see them I literally have to have them. When I heard about the Christian Loubiton exhibition I was estatic as you can image. The exhibition was amazing, so many shoes in one place and you weren't allowed to touch them, what a tease!!! Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to take any pictures inside, but I got a couple of good pics of the shoes the dressed the stair well on the way to the exhibition.

The exhibition showed you Mr. Loubitions career progression, his design inspiration and the manufacture of the shoes. The highlights in my eyes were the fetish room, the cinema part and also the Dita Von Teese hologram (it was seriously cool). The hologram starts of as a pink shoe and magics itself into Dita while she sashays along to some music which I have forgotten.

The exhibiton is definitely worth a visit especially those who love shoes as much as I do. I actually saw some ladies strutting around the exhibition in super high Loubitons, talk about dedication!!! Hopefully one day I will own my very own pair.

I Just love these two views from outside the Design Museum...for all you Instagram lovers!!!

Fashion at the V&A

So the V&A is one of my favourite musuems in London because it has a permanent fashion exhibition/ archive. When I a young fashion design student I used to go and sketch the clothing from the 19th Century through to modern day.
I am totes obssess with instagram at the moment and everything is my subject. This picture was taken outside the museum and is made out of millions of traffic cones painted white. It looks soo pretty close up and from a far.

I love this dress, I can't remember who the designer is, but I am going to assume it was Christian Dior as it has the classic Wasp waist which is his signature style. This beautiful scarlet jacket and full skirt would be a dream to wear and is quite on trend with what is happening at the moment in fashion even if it was from the 40s/50s.
This gorgeous dress from yester year has a full pannier over 2m wide, another great way to get an itty bitty waist.
I love this completely impractical knitted bikini, I don't think it would last long in the water. The high waisted shorts are another on trend piece and I guess so is the bra/cele. I can see Prada sending something similar down the catwalk.

This unusal oriental jacket caught my eye. Again the embroidered flowers would be very on trend if it was a digi print.

Another oriental inspired piece is beautiful and I love the colour of the gown. Me wearing this with a pair of bright pink high heels!!!
Another gorgeous piece from the connection, it's last season I think, I love the way the print is made to look like a lace overlay truly devine.

So I hope you enjoyed some of my favourite pieces. I went to the Christian Loubiton exhibition recently so I shall be posting on that shortly!!!

The Litas -

So I finally did it, I brought a pair of black leather Litas; they are so gorgeous I am very exited about wearing them. As a 5ft 3 in tall person the extra six inches that the shoes give me is much appreciated! Suddenly I am a supermodel (lols). Suprisingly easy to walk in I am going to trial the shoes as a day thing and see if I can cope with running around london in them without breaking my neck!!! Hears to my Litas...

What a month & a bit

I have just signed into by Blog account and realised the last time I posted was about 6 weeks ago. I really can't tell you what I have been doing in this time other than work, work, work!!! Currently presiding as a Marketing Co-ordinator for a London Club, my brain has been filled with getting to know the ropes!!!

So hello readers, today I want to talk about Kurt Geiger and their new accessories range. Well it's probably slightly less than new now, but it was the first time I saw the products. The company has developed  a stunning range of jewellery, sunglasses and handbags to complement their long standing fashionable footwear. The accessories/ handbags are very reminiscent of what was seen on the Spring/Summer 2012 catwalk and top accessory brands like Links, Thomas Sabo, Yves Saint Laurent etc. There sunglasses are very Tom Ford at a fraction of the price. This is a prime example of why I love the UK high street. Well done Kurt Geiger for an excellently executed accessories range, i can't wait to see what gems they produce for AW12. I am sure I will be all over the bags!!! See below pictures of some of my favourite pieces.
